Favorite things about racing/riding: Most of all, meeting new people to ride with and new places to ride. I like racing because it makes me a better rider no matter where I finish and I get to meet more people to who enjoy my favorite sport. Favorite biking moment: Anytime I get to take a new rider riding with me. Watching them experience the thrill of a challenging part of the trail. Remembering the same feeling within myself when I first rode that same section of trail. Watching them overcome that fear and find that it gets easier and less scary the next time around. I am a former US Army Infantry officer and have an extensive library of books on the Civil War. I like to read about battles and then visit the battlefields and put my knowledge to use while seeing where it all took place.
