Darryl Glascock    Name: Darryl Glascock Message Board Name: Dirtdog is my NMB name and loosely derived from a nickname while living with some college friends in a cool old stone house called “the dog house”. I answered the phone in the house one day “dog house, Darryl dog speaking”, and it was my sister. Since then, with reminders from my little sister, it went from terradog to dirtdog, with my attraction to singletrack and the out of doors. Age: 47 Race Class: Clydesdale (the word racing is used VERY loosely) Years Racing: Not raced much since the mid 90’s and that was mostly Road Years Riding: Riding since 1985 (22 years) when I did my first triathlon and road race. Been working in the bike and outdoor business full time since ‘89 and wrench part time before that. Race Bike: My race bike is a Rocky Mtn Carve with a new Steed on the way. Other Bikes: My stable has fluxed over the years and still hosts a Litespeed Ultimate road bike, ’99 DBR race hardtail and a ‘60 vintage stingray style orange Firestone 20” kid’s bike that is waiting on my 4 year old. Other Interests: Spent my youth on horses as a steer roper and plenty of time carrying a backpack down the trail. Camping now with a beautiful little girl, wife, and 6 years into a home renovation. Favorite things about racing/riding: The biggest kick I get from riding and racing is the fellowship. Favorite biking moment: Favorite MTB moment has to be back in 1991 riding on a trail in my home town with one of my first MTB riding buddies, Ernesto Perez. Simply having a blast enhancing fat tire skills, cranking on the single track, fully rigid and banging over the doubles.
