September CX clinic every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 5-8pm at Lions Club Park in Fayetteville, TN. 5-6 warmup and clinic, 6-7 race, 7-8 cool down and clinic. Barriers, sand, the works, no entree fee, just for fun.

The man to ask in Dwayne Letterman or Vicki Mackum
dwayne at msgcross.com
( mackzumv at rontiernet.net ).

If you have a mountain bike license already you should already have a CX license.

Take the plunge..... it's worth it!

I think you can race SS on a one day, it's an open class.

Man, this S*** is so fun! I'm beside myself sitting at my desk, watching cross videos. I can't get any work done this time of year, I'm basically useless. I'm begging you, all of you, try cyclocross. What else are you going to do with your winter?

Next Saturday's course

I rode the course after 4" of rain yesterday; no mud/carrying your bike for the whole race. Course was slower 4sure, but still allot of fun. Pre registration is open and those who don't wait are rewarded......Swag.

http://www.bikereg.com/events/register.asp?eventid=9377

This year’s race will support Lions Club Bicycle Trail; it's a new trail that was built 6 months ago by me and 6 Boy scouts. 3.2 miles, nothing crazy, just a place a kid can get hooked on mountain biking. Check out the links to see where your $$$ will go.

Fat Tire Bonus

Means that CX4, SS, juniors, and masters, male or female that bring their oversized tires, I mean mountain bike get to double dip. You are racing against cross bikes and if you place in the top 5 you obviously win something, then if you’re the first mountain bike to cross the line you get a fat prize http://cyclingfreak.ning.com/page/prizes-1
.
Tanner shower up last year with a full suspension at one race, this year he won't go home empty handed.
http://cyclingfreak.ning.com/photo/b...t?context=user
http://cyclingfreak.ning.com/photo/b...4?context=user
http://cyclingfreak.ning.com/photo/b...t?context=user

Also don't forget everyone should try too hang around, the last race everyday of the Freak series is the Beat the Freak Race. Racers are staged by their category, 2 laps, field points will be earned along with some swag after each race, and the winner is the racer with the most field points at the last Beat the Freak Race in October. The winner gets a fat set of Revolution Wheels, 2nd and third won't go home empty handed either. If this is to complicated, this is my version of the Hoss of Cross x6.

I rode the course today, no mud, just standing water in a few spots. I'll post pictures this week of the course. My lap times were 7 minutes before the rain, now a mountain bike may be faster.

I'll be heading down for the Saturday race for sure. Can't wait to get the first cross race of the year in!!! I hope to make it Sunday as well, but I'll probably be working on my cross course for our race the following weekend.

This cross season is gonna ROCK!!!

I just want to ask any ladies out there that are on the fence about going to get out there this weekend! I got a new cross bike, and I'm ready to bend some cranks... but I can't do that if I'm the only one racing... the more competition, the better!
