Booker T 2007 XC Race Photos

Glad to be back - it was a very warm day. Plus a long drive. The race today ran very smoothly and was well marked - Hats off to the Senic City Velo (SCV)

We got there around 11 (ET of course) and hung out / socialized / prepared. I was simply a sweeper today -although I sort of wish I had raced. The first thing we heard was how much the heat and the trail beat everyone up. We saw lots of blood and bruises. The first and worse that we saw was JNLR (Jeremy) He plowed some loose ground and lost control. It got his arm and thigh pretty good (ouch e wawa!!!)

I hurt just looking at it. Nice piece of meat, by the way  (comment from an unnamed pregnant short bubbly petite biker )

The ladies beginner line up

The JR 14 and under line up (there were no 15 to 18 year group ) Charlie, Mathew Whitaker, and a 13 year old from Chattanooga (1st race - didi very well).

Charlie coming out of the infield area

Charlie doing a practice lap (2 wks ago)

After the race (thanks Laura)

The silver and bronze medals - good job guys

hopefully some people (Kim) took some more pics. Mine were kinda limited.

See ya'll at the Stanky race next week,

Steve and Charlie

I took about 20 pictures of random racers, before my SD card ran out of memory. I will try to upload the pictures here, either tonight or tomorrow.

Nice legs

Man,what muscular legs you have Jeremy! For a minute I thought I was looking at a picture of Steve Wilson.I wish I had legs like those. I would even take them with that little scratch on the left one. Just kidding about the little scratch. Hope you're healing O.K.

neither are very pleasant, I am always amazed at the Rasmussen photo. I think it is from the 2003 or 04 pre-tour checkup. That is how he showed up for the tour, he trained to get to that point. Thats discipline.

The photo of my leg is just going too fast into a corner.

It was a tough day. I saw people going down that weren't really pushing all that hard in a turn. They just washed. Doesn't make it hurt any less.

More picturs and stuff

As promised here are the pictures I took at the race. The truth is that I don't even know who most of these people are.... but I know that when I used to race I really appreciated it when someone snapped a picture of me and posted it so I could get a copy.

These are reduced quality, so I could post them to the web quicker and so they would fit the frame size. If you are pictured in one of these and would like the full-size top quality version, simply send me a PM with your email address and I will forward it to you. Please be sure to be specific about the picture you want.

BTW, all pictures where taken with a digital camera that had a broken LED and a very scratched "normal" view finder.

Enjoy.

Even more B.T. Race Pics

OK, I just learned that one can only post 20 images as part of each message, so I had to break it up and post two messages to post them all.

Enjoy.
